Mitch McConnell was a mean, heartless son of a bitch.
He didn’t play 3D chess — he flipped the goddamn table over, spat in your face, laughed, and danced on your grave.
And he won.
Over and over again.
He bent the rules until they screamed — and dared you to stop him.
You didn’t.
You clutched your protocols and platitudes like rosary beads while the bulldozer flattened you.
"When they go low, we go high," you said.
"Don't boo, vote," you said.
Meanwhile, the other side sharpened their knives, rigged the maps, and kneecapped the referees.
Imagine what Mitch McConnell would have done if Robert Gates had hidden encrypted communications with loyalists.
If Barack Obama had gutted the Justice Department to install cronies.
If Obama had attacked judges, journalists, and soldiers’ families.
There would have been torches on the Senate floor and blood in the streets.
Instead, today, we get Chuck Schumer coughing into a microphone, mumbling, "We will win," while fascism slams through the gates.
This is not normal.
This is not politics.
This is not a fire drill.
This is the fire.
And history already showed us how this ends.
In 1930, Germany still had elections.
By 1934, democracy was ashes.
Hitler didn’t overthrow the system — he rotted it from inside, using laws as weapons and emergency powers as crowbars.
Trump’s 2025 agenda is following that playbook to the letter.
James Madison warned that tyranny would come more from "gradual and silent encroachments" than from "violent usurpations."
You are watching that now — silent at first, then violent.
Ulysses S. Grant warned after the Civil War that the enemies of democracy, if left unchecked, would rise again “with the same fierce hatred of free institutions.”
Look around. They have.
Franklin Roosevelt warned that "the liberty of a democracy is not safe if we tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than the democratic State itself."
Private power — billionaire-funded propaganda machines — now owns your democracy.
Martin Luther King, Jr. warned not just of the violence of the bad, but "the appalling silence of the good."
Where is your voice? Where is your courage?
You can’t have corporate monopolies, manufactured fear, and suppressed votes without the corruption of the entire American ideal.
James Baldwin wrote: "The betrayal of a belief is not the same thing as ceasing to believe."
We still believe in this country — or at least the idea of it.
But belief without action is surrender.
You were warned.
Now you are out of time.
Turn off the cowards on CNN and MSNBC. They are not going to march with you.
Shut off the panels.
Stop bathing yourself in armchair outrage.
This is not a debate club.
This is a street fight for the soul of the nation.
The people you are up against believe in two things:
Power and propaganda.
Not principles.
Not truth.
Not democracy.
And they will destroy everything — the courts, the elections, the Constitution — just to cling to that power.
So stop pretending there’s going to be a cavalry charge of norms to save you.
You are the cavalry.
There is no one else.
Fight in the courts — like your life depends on it.
Flood the streets with protest — like your future depends on it.
Speak the truth without fear — like your children’s freedom depends on it.
Seize every lever of power you can — because you will not get another shot.
We are at DEFCON 2.
The enemy is inside the gates.
They are tearing down the walls while you argue about tone.
History won’t remember your cleverness.
It will remember whether you fought — or whether you folded.
The fire is here.
It’s burning.
Pick up the hose — or get the hell out of the way.
